A legendary setter and 13-year veteran of the Canadian Men’s National Team. Having captained Team Canada through over 300 international matches and 11 professional seasons in Europe, Scott brings an elite "player’s perspective" and a masterclass in volleyball IQ.

Lupo Ludwig

Head Coach, University of Manitoba Bisons

As the former 8-year Head Coach of the Canadian Women’s National Team and an Olympic coach for Team Germany, Lupo is a world-class strategist. His track record includes leading teams to multiple World Championships and securing professional championships in Europe.

One of the most successful coaches in U SPORTS history, Ryan has led the TWU Women’s program to multiple National Championships and countless Canada West titles. A former U SPORTS Coach of the Year, Ryan has extensive experience coaching with Canada’s NextGen and Junior National Team programs.

Meet Coach Scott Koskie

We are thrilled to welcome Scott Koskie, the current Head Coach of the UBCO Heat Men’s Volleyball program, to our coaching staff. Scott brings over 20 years of elite coaching experience across international, national, and collegiate levels. Before leading the Heat, he served as a Provincial Performance Coach for Volleyball Manitoba and spent years as an assistant with Team Canada’s Senior Women’s National Team, helping guide them to the 2010 and 2014 World Championships. His coaching pedigree is backed by a legendary playing career as a setter and 6-year captain for the Canadian Men’s National Team, where he competed in over 320 international matches and 11 professional seasons in Europe. A two-time National Champion and former National Player of the Year at the University of Manitoba, Scott’s deep understanding of the game and passion for athlete development make him an invaluable mentor for players looking to take their skills to the next level.

Meet Coach Arnd "Lupo" Ludwig

We are honored to have Arnd "Lupo" Ludwig on our coaching team, bringing a world-class perspective to our athletes. Currently the Head Coach of the University of Manitoba Bisons Men’s program, Lupo is perhaps best known for his eight-year tenure as the Head Coach of the Canadian Women’s National Team (2009–2016). Under his leadership, Team Canada climbed to 16th in the world rankings and made back-to-back appearances at the World Championships in 2010 and 2014. Before moving to Canada, Lupo built a powerhouse program in Germany with Dresdner SC, leading them to a German Championship and five consecutive podium finishes. His experience spans the highest levels of the sport, including coaching at the 2000 Sydney Olympics as an assistant for Team Germany. A former professional setter and a specialist in physical education, Lupo is renowned for his technical precision and his ability to develop elite talent for the international stage.

Meet Coach Ryan Hofer

We are incredibly fortunate to feature Ryan Hofer, the architect of the Trinity Western University Spartans women’s volleyball powerhouse. As one of the most decorated coaches in U SPORTS history, Ryan has led the Spartans to multiple National Championships and an unprecedented run of Canada West titles. His leadership has transformed TWU into a perennial Top-10 program in North America, consistently producing All-Canadians and professional athletes.

Beyond the university stage, Ryan’s influence extends to the international level. He has served as a key coach within Canada’s National Team programs, including roles with the NextGen and Junior National teams, helping bridge the gap for athletes transitioning from youth excellence to the world stage. A former U SPORTS Coach of the Year, Ryan is celebrated not only for his tactical brilliance and "championship systems" but also for his commitment to developing the mental toughness and leadership qualities of every player he mentors. His presence at this camp offers athletes a unique window into the culture and standards of the most successful volleyball program in the country.
