NextGen Precision Clinics
Summer Weekend Series
Because elite growth doesn't happen by accident.

Program Overview
Every player wants to improve over the summer, but not everyone has the ability to commit to regular training, like our Positional Intensives or the Okanagan Selects Program. The NextGen Precision Clinics take place over a single weekend. This allows you to gain in-depth understanding of a particular part of the game to give you confidence heading out of the summer and into school tryouts.
Program Values
What our Precision Clinics offer:
● Technical & Tactical Growth: Position-specific drills that fine‐tune every touch.
● Brain & Resilience Training: Because it’s not just body, your mental game matters.
● Prehab over Rehab: Prevent injuries through smart strength and mobility work.
● Team Dynamics & Confidence: We train athletes to thrive together on and off the court.
Precision Clinics
These high intensity and higly precise clinic sessions run for 3.5 hours on both Saturday and Sunday each weekend from July 26/27 to August 23/24. Both ages groups (U14-15 & U16-18) are limited to just 12 participants to ensure maximum attention to individual athletes.

Weekend #2: Offence
Great attackers aren't just powerful, they're smart, versatile, and unpredictable. This clinic helps you develop a complete toolkit of offensive skills that allows them to score in any situation.
Weekend #3: Defense
Elite defenders have the ability to both read the play and react to it. This clinic builds defensive instincts and teaches athletes how to read the play, cover more court, and keep rallies alive with advanced movement and digging skills.
Weekend #1: First Contact
The first contact in volleyball is the foundation of every successful play. Whether it's serve receive or digging a hard-driven attack, mastering first contact skills means giving your team the best chance to run a clean, efficient offense and wear down your opponent over time.
Weekend #4: Transition
Transition is the heartbeat of high-level volleyball. Every point demands smooth, purposeful movement between offense, defence, and serve receive. This clinic focuses on teaching you how to seamlessly shift between roles: serve receive to defense, block to attack, offence to defence.
Multi-Weekend Sessions
These sessions take place over the four weekends and complement the rest of the Precision Clinics' focuses.
Footspeed and Plyos:
This session is designed for athletes who want to unlock their full physical potential. Through advanced agility, plyometric, and strength training, you will increase their explosive power, speed, and vertical jump.

Setting Sessions:
Setters are the strategists, the playmakers, and the emotional leaders of every team. These sessions are dedicated to developing elite-level setters through advanced technical, tactical, and mental training.
These small group sessions are tailored to each athlete’s unique goals. Before training begins, athletes will connect with coaches to create a personalized plan that targets their specific development needs.

PRECISION CLINICS COACHES
We are thrilled to have coaches from HT Coach Labs (@ht.sportslab) coaching the Precision Clinics this year! Here's a bit more about Bryce and Travis.

Bryce Turner
As a Physical Education teacher in SD23 with a Kinesiology degree, I’ve dedicated my career to helping young people grow through sport. I competed at the high school, club, and postsecondary levels in volleyball, track and field, and cross country. These experiences not only shaped me as an athlete but also laid the foundation for the coach and educator I am today.
Raised in a coaching family, I’ve seen the lasting impact coaches can have on athletes. I believe sport is an opportunity for youth to build critical life skills like time management, resilience, teamwork, and communication. These are lessons that last long after the season ends.
My coaching emphasizes strong fundamentals and developing the base skills that athletes can rely on under pressure. That’s why HT Sports Lab focuses on building confident, technically sound athletes who are prepared to perform at their best when it matters most.

Travis Holmes
I'm a high school Physical & Health Education teacher in SD23 and a committed volleyball coach at both the high school and club level. Born and raised in Kelowna, I grew up playing soccer, hockey, and volleyball, and I’ve always believed that sport is one of the best ways to build confidence, resilience, and community.
After dealing with multiple chronic injuries and three ACL tears, I saw firsthand how often athlete health is overlooked. Too many programs prioritize immediate performance over long-term well-being. That’s why HT Sports Lab focuses on prehab over rehab, emphasizing smart, sustainable training that develops speed, strength, and skill, without sacrificing the body.
